I actually have a browser open right now to buy a Haze Generator. Its not DMX, but I think I can just leave it on durning the show. It draws less power than my 450watt fog machine, and more importantly, its instant on. Im interepting that to mean there are no breaks to reheat the core. I cant miss a song cause the fogger decided to reheat. Most of the places we play have good ventilation, so a stage covered in fog will be thinned out in about 30 seconds. Also frees me up from having to trigger it all the time (or accidently leaving it on like I did once... it was the last song of the set and as they said they'd be back in a bit there was this THICK wall of fog behind them, just starting to drift towards peoples tables heehee. Whoops...) So Im hoping that this one will do the job.

Anyone use it?

I have 2 questions about the Haze Generator:
1) Is it safe to run off of a relay? This would be so I could get some basic control over DMX. I would probably use the remote on the timer setting so when I called it w/ the DMX it would fire up w/ these settings.

2) Can the remote be extened w/out hurting it? I want to add a 1/4"->XLR adaptor to the remote, and send it though the snake to the stage, then an XLR->1/4" into the remote so I can have control over it during the show. The snake is about 50' and there would be probably 5-10' added from the snake to the Haze Generator itself.
