Hi, I am new to these forums. If I am posting this in the wrong section I apologize.

I own a Haze Generator and I love it. I bought it in October and have used it every weekend or every other weekend since. I have not had any clogging or output issues since I have owned it.

Should I run some distilled water and vinegar through the machine now or wait until output becomes an issue? Thanks.

Read what your manual states in regards to maintenance cycles and proper solutions for performing cleanings and maintenance. That's really your best bet.

I also bought a haze generator in December and I love the thing. Only used it twice, but it's an instand favorite. It's the Elation HZ-3000.

You can always clean your hazer more frequently than recommended, but it's rather wasteful to do that. If you're like me where it could be a bit of time between usages, then it might be more important to maybe either run it more frequently for tests here and there, and/or run a cleaning cycle.
Hazers, especially water based, shouldn't have to be cleaned out. They are simply an air pump forcing air into the fluid to make haze. Foggers are a different story since they actually heat the fluid up.

Likewise, if using oil-based haze, you should mix water in with it. I would contact service for more specifics on your model if the manual isn't clear or doesn't state at all.
Okay, now this is confusing. The manual says this..
quote:
This unit is a heater-less special effect fog producing unit

A flyer that came in the packet says this...
quote:
Never allow your fog machine to run dry of fluid as this will cause damage to the heater and pump.

The most common service required is the cleaning of the heater. The unit may build up a burnt residue in the heat exchanger tube causing it to clog. To avoid this from happening run 1/2 cup of distilled water through the unit after every 4 to 5 uses

Do you think that is a flyer for all fog machines that ADJ puts in their packets?
