I bought the universal remote and it will not work the light. Put fresh battery in the remote still didn't work. Tried to use the airstream app on iPad mini with the thing that comes with the H2O and it didn't work either. Is something you need to do to link them up.

Hi - I have the same problem, just wondering if you found a answer?
Hello Rob, were you using the UC IR remote or the IR sensor that came with the H2O?
Thanks for coming back to me - I was using the separate remote (the UC IR) - I've tried two of them, thinking one was faulty (the batteries were fine) but neither have any effect on the H2O IR at all - did you have any luck with yours afterwards (or even the IR sensor with a phone/ipad)?
There is a small black sensor on the front side of the H2O, are you pointing your devices towards that sensor?
Hi, sorry for the delay in replying (away for a few days) - yes, I've tried pointing both remotes directly towards the IR sensor, but neither operate it. I have the small white 'plug-in' sensor for the ipad/phone, that came with it - but haven't tried it yet - did you have any luck with that or the UC IR?
Just downloaded the ADJ Airstream app - tried it with my iPhone, but it still doesn't operate the H20 IR - I can hardly have two faulty H2O units, so can only assume that this ADJ product is not IR compatible, even though the documentation says it should be!
With the Airstream IR app do you have the volume on the iPhone raised? That will boost the signal for it.
Hi Erik - yes, no response from the H2O, even with full volume - I'm not convinced that the H2O actually works with the UC IR - any further help would be much appreciated!
Is the ADJ Airstream app available for android ?
Thank you

The airstream Bridge DMX and Airstream PRO are on iPad/iOS only. Sorry.
