I just received my custom gobos for my Ultra Scans. They are great!!! The company I worked thru was great and, not to name names, they are in Lima, Peru (and the name begings with a 'Z'). FOUR DAYS turn around from when I emailed them my designs and when Fedex delivered them to my door! The price was very reasonable. ***Great Idea for DJ Business*** Do custom gobos for your weddings/anniversaries/special events! Of course you charge your customer for the gobos but, given the price, they will probably do it and they WILL be happy. Nothing like having your name in lights at your wedding/birthday/etc!!! Also make one with your own business name and advertise in lights! I did two gobos of my band name and will project them at times as we play.
Hint: use WordArt in Microsoft Word to do your logos and get some cool free fonts off the web. Remember, there is only so much you can do on metal gobos so be careful e.g. the centers of 'o's 'A's etc have to be tagged or they fall out! Also, the gobos are very small (16mm diameter for the Ultra's - smaller than a dime) so don't try to put too much on them.
Of course, you need a cool light like the Ultra that has changable gobos too!!
