Not that I'll get any answers, but it's too bad they cut off the Projector 150. I'd like to see that come back as not only an LED-based fixture, but also with DMX(dim, rotation direction and rotation speed, just 2 channels would handle it pretty good).

I recently had to take mine apart and change out the custom gobo. Man, talk abou being stuck together. But nothing stuck to the glass once I got it apart.

What I like about this fixture is that it's normally easy to change gobos, easy to make your own and runs great. Also not terribly expensive.

with such a small gobo size, how would the pressing of gobos with complex designs compare to using a larger gobo size like a martin pr1? (D size)

For the small gobo's they should be fine. Have you ever seen how small the gobo's are for the elation platinum spot 5R? Those things are tiny. So I don't think you have to worry too much about the difference. Hope this helps.

Ok, so I got my ADJ gobo projector in. So far I'm pretty impressed. BUT...I can't figure out where the color gels are supposed to go. It's not mentioned in the manual or the video.

To add a gel in the Gobo Projector:
1. Unscrew and remove the lens housing.
2. Using a flat head screwdriver, gently and carefully remove the retainer ring holding the lens into place.
3. Remove the lens and insert your desired gel. The gel should sit perfectly on the small ledge inside the housing.
4. With the gel sitting perfectly, reinsert the lens. After the lens is inserted, reinsert the retainer ring so that it sits snuggly against the lens. There should be no "play" between the lens and retainer ring.

The only retaining ring I see on the lens is on the exterior side of the lens, and the ring in held in place with silicon.

That is the retaining ring I am speaking about. Please remove that and place the gel in that. How does it work? If you would like to call me directly you can do so at 800-322-6337 ext 564.

Will removing the retaining ring not loosen the silicon and eventually allow some play between the lens and the ring?

I guess If I need a gel I'll just ductape a gel on the front of the lens.

This user video on youtube shows how to change gels. ADJ needs to be more thorough in their manuals. This is much needed instruction that was left OUT of the manual.
