NOt all modes support strobing. 14 channel mode and 26 channel mode both support strobing. The other modes do not support strobing.

I think you'll need to set your DMX modes differently than you already have them set up.

Make sure you also set your color(s) and your dimmer values so you can see the strobing as well.

All of this information is in the manual.
I would not want to run a non-controlled light in strobe mode unless I had that fixture on a switcher pack. That's just asking for some potential problems.

To the best of my knowledge, no manufacturor makes a fixture outside of a strobe, that will operate strobing in stand-alone mode. Too much liability.

Yikes I have no DMX controller - I'm just using this for school discos - can you advise of the cheapest DMX controller that would work? Many Thanks!
Well, the DMX Operator would be a step down sort of but would be cheap. They won't get much cheaper than that unless you want a total trash controller.

Another option, if you're looking at those sort of dollars, might be going with MyDMX. For not much more, you get a TON more features.
