I see that footswitches have been discussed her on the forum, but they all seem to involve people using it with MIDI, sequencers, and so on. What I would like to be is simply advance from one scene to the next by using a simple footswitch. I am not quite sure what I would have to do, or buy. Again, I don't need tons of buttons; preferably just one or two to advance (and maybe one to reverse) the scene.

I am still a newbie at this, but I do think this is an outstanding product for the money, The support on this forum is truly wonderful and greatly appreciated.

I saw a post by Chris that referenced using a laser pointer control to advance programs. I had one lying around my house so I hooked it up and, voila, it advances programs. Very simple. So is there such a thing as a footswitch that could operate under the same principle? I would hate to try to hit the button on a laser pointer with my big toe. :-)
I think I have found my own answer.

There are a number of USB foot switches on the market. Some are programmable, some are meant to emulate a specific mouse button. So what you do is put your mouse over the advance button on MYDMX and use the USB foot switch to trigger it. Very easy. The foot switches are not expensive. So if you are a live musician that wants to be able to advance scenes via a foot switch, this appears to be the answer. I think I have seen a couple of posts that have asked about this.
