Well, I'm a bit dissapointed right now. It seems ADJ's silk flame effect fixture is discontinued.
I have a need for this type of effect, and trying to stick with ADJ has been difficult. The AmericanDJ Torch Light sees a bit square. But, I like the layout of the Chauvet Bob LED as it looks far better out in the open(where I want to also have the option to use it) as well as hang it(which is another desired application.
While marketting won't comment, it must be apparent that either this type of fixture wasn't a big seller.
Odd how now every place I look, all I can find is the Bob LED and the thing isn't in stock and coming after I need this fixture.
Fortunately, the ADJ fixture, should I find one, works fine hidden as the first intended use is to be hidden in an aluminum garbage can to simulate a fire in a can, which requires the fixture to be hidden on either an internal structure to be added or else on something stuffed in there. I gotta figure out how to cut a clean hole in the bottom area to place a grommet in and then run a dimmer and DMX through that hole.
ADJ can feel free to contact me off-line if there is a product in the works. I can hold off on my purchase even though I'd like it for this upcoming show.
Since we're progressively adding a bit more each show, we're OK.
