Do not put a 120v lamp into the Fascinator! It uses a 24v lamp and only use the ELC 250w. If you put in a larger wattage (24v), it may damage the unit and void the warranty. Smiler Cool
I seem to run into this problem from time to time with my lighting. Small halls the lights look great, but getting into a bigger hall sometimes they aren't bright enough. What you really need to do is go and check the hall out in advance to see what you might need. I've been buying more lights lately so that if I'm in a small hall I'll take only certain lights, since larger wattage lights are over-kill in these halls and way too bright. Then I'll switch to a different set-up if I'm booked into a larger hall. Right now I'm more geared to do the smaller halls, but do have stuff to fill a larger one too. I really think it's best to research what you need for the kind of gigs that you do. You can never have too many lights. That's my motto. You should see my basement when I'm not DJing. My own private Discoteque. Right now for small gigs I will use 2 Roto Pods, 2 Mini Gems, 2 Sparkles, 2 Flame Bowls, 2 Saga's, 1 Party Gobo Lamp, 1 Laser Widow which I just picked up for $50 used, 1 Color Sphere, and 4 Par Cans.
Larger Gigs I'll take my Lotus, which by the way really fills a hall with light, also all the above mentioned lighting which I turn around and use on myself instead of the dance floor, with the exception of the Saga's Which also work well in a larger hall. Then I'll go and rent other lighting as needed since I get my rentals for next to nothing cuz I have a good relationship with my supplier, who also slides me gigs when he is too booked up. Next month I've got 6 gigs booked, and 2 more in November. Things are starting to pick up. I think the lighting has something to do with it since a lot of DJ's around here don't seem to carry it. I don't charge extra for my lighting unless it's a big gig and I need to rent myself, however I still only charge them what it is costing me. I really don't know how I got buy without lighting before. I still get some people asking how much for no lighting when I say that the lighting is included for free. I need the lights just for my own satisfaction. It's boring just playing music with no atmosphere to go with it. American DJ has lighting for every style of DJ. That's the problem sometimes, there's so much to chose from. I'm just like a kid in a candy store sometimes. Sorry for rambling.

DAMN DOGG thats a lot of info! Big Grin but i couldn't have said any better than that. but back to the topic... RADi8 if you do put a higher wattage bulb in your warranty will be automatically voided, you'll have to be constantly turning the light on and off, then you'd have to keep on replacing the buld each time that you turn around. If you still can look into the raider. Wink
