Fans in Scan Tron go bad

I have two of the lights and on of the fans would not come on when you plug them in and I would have to stick something into the fan a hit the blades up or down and then it would start up. The other day I noticed that the other light was doing the same thing. Do I need to change the fans or is it loose connections or is it something that I can fix? 1 more question. If I would be having to replace the fans, would I have to be replacing the fans every time they dont start up?
