First of all, you should set Traktor to use EXTERNAL MIXING, as this provides a much better sound quality. If for some bizarre reason you insist on using software mixing, you need to go into the controller mapping in Traktor and find the entry for your EQs, then adjust the "knob sensitivity" setting until it meets your needs.
KidKinediK we have not explained well.
I use mac,there is a software for mac(midi monitor)
You can try to midi monitor if a controller midi sends the right messages
I tried vms4 and does not send just midi messages
MIDI messages are from 1 to 127
vms4 numbers jump

try it=
software:MIDI MONITOR
hardware:VMS4
sorry for my english
Honestly guys the vms4 wasn't rely ment to be used as a software mixer it was designed to use the analogue channels as such with the sound card and the midi side for control of traktor ie loops effects and transport if you swap to analogue mixing through a hi power sound rig 3k plus you realy notice the quality is 100% better than using software mixing and eliminates this problem
how can you say that it wasnt ment to be used as a software mixer whens its supplied with virtual dj. its advertised as a midi controller with the added bonus of having analogue if your computer crashes.

Whether or not your argument is right or wrong, there is still a problem with the midi signals it sends to traktors EQ's. i dont think im asking alot for it to be fixed when it is advertised to be fully compatatible with the big dj programmes, traktor being one of them.
its not only about eq knobs.
i mapped the filter function in traktor pro to one knob and when i turn it clockwise to hi pass it does not correspond to the actual position in the software.
this is definitely wrong midi messages and please inform us if it is going to be a firmware update to resolve these problems!!!

do you have "soft takeover" activated in your mapping?
there was never anything to "fix".
are you aware of pre- and post-EQ modes?

here's the answer from the builder of the unit i posted in a related thread:

The rotary EQ knobs work differently on older vs. newer code. Old VMS4 3.11 software is full linear, while on VMS4 version 5.5 software and VMS4.1, VMS2, and VMS4 Traktor the EQs are linear from off to 0 dB on the left and from 0dB to 12dB linear on the right

the vms works pretty well, most of the users are quite happy - you obviuosly want to ignore all the positive postings that are floating around here as well.

as with all forums, users tend to post more when they have a problem.

ADJ doesnt ignore its users, it's right the opposite - everybody's helpful and trying to find a fast solution in case of issues.
