Effect Manager and multiple head fixture

Hi Hangdawg. Welcome to the forums. With the profile how it was created my dmx will only recognize one set of pan and tilt channels in the program. This is a profile limitation on my dmx. The only way i can get this to work for you is to create 2 different profiles for you. The first one would be the pan, pan fine, tilt, and tilt fine channels with a dimmer channel. you can then patch this 5 channel profile into the program 4 times and then patch in another profile I can make for the movement macros, speed, shutter and master dimmer channel.
Make sense? Is this something you would like me to do so you can use all 4 heads in the effects manager?

Yeah, that would be sweet. I've been messing around in the Scan Library Editor a little but that is a bit over my head at the moment. I was trying to figure out how to simulate a chauvet 6 spot.

So, am I correct in saying that as long as the total number of channels used by the combination of 4 single head profiles and then the last 5 for movement macros, speed, move adj, shutter and master dimmer channel add up then in essence I have a 25 channel fixture. Will the shutter be able to strobe the first 4 single heads or no? Ahh that doesn't matter anyway. I can put that in manually and I don't need to see it.

Yes of course. Because it doesn't really matter WHAT profile you use in the 25 channel block because really no matter what you have the fixture is going to listen to the channels it is set to start listening too. The profiles are mainly for us to better understand what we are controlling and also for the effects generator and 3D. Make sense? I'll try to get the 2 profiles made for you by the end of the day.

you understand that if you have two event bars you need to use the 1st profile 4 times and the 5 channel one once and then repeat the process right?

I was definately on the right track. Hey, is the pan angle on that supposed to be 540. I thought it was just 360

Whoops! LOL You can fix that on yours and I'll do mine.

What about pan and tilt center? It's at 127 but I can't change it. It won't save.

It's fine leave it. My DMX doesn't use Center much if at all anyways.
