Just received my dura truss system. Extremely pleased with it, by far the most durable and fair priced lighting stand of it's kind out there. Supports massive amount of weight without so much as any sag. Extremely easy to setup and tear down, again extremely impressed by it and would highly suggest it to anyone, it's the last lighting stand you'll ever buy....

Hey mike, I'm thinking about the this truss but I need to mount at least four 35lb moving heads. I know it has a 300lb capacity but I want something rock steady. I'm also not sure how to secure 35lb moving heads to 1/2 truss safely.Let me know what kind of lighting your using and the amount of weight your throwing on there. Does the stand ever sway back and fouth like the plastic trusses do when there's close to weight capacity?
hey, I've mounted 4 dj spot 250's on it, 6 dj scans, 4 par 38's, 2 snap shot 2's, a dimmer and relay pack and some various other little effects on it and i've been extremely happy with it. When it's fully extended and the moving heads are all going the truss sways a little bit but it's very minimal. I was also concerned about mounting the moving heads on the stand when i first got it and i literally tried to tip the stand over to see how sturdy it really was and i found it was quite difficult to throw the stand off balance. Like I said for the price I think it's the best stand your going to find. if you have any other questions i'd be happy to answer them if i can. -Mike
I'm confused. The Duratruss used Crank-2's. The load rating on the crank-2's is 70lbs. This only adds up to 140lbs. Did they beef them up for the duratruss or am I missing something. If they actually hold 150lbs each I would really like to use a pair and get square aluminum truss.
