Hey i bought the vms 4 a couple of days ago, and tried to install the driver, but because i use windows 7 64 bit it is not supported. i got really surprised when i saw that, because the vms 4 came out after windows 7 64 bit. I cant really use the vms 4, because i cant use the monitor fuction.

My other probem is that i use traktor 3, and i want to keep it that way, but the problem is just that i can not find any midi mapping for the traktor 3, so i had to do it myself, but it doesnt work that well plus i cant make the jogwheels to work.

i wanna know if there is going to be a supported driver for windows 7 64 bit, and a midi map for traktor 3, or should i return the vms 4?

pleez help!!

This is the error message, which comes up if you start the driver (AmericanAudio_ASIODriver_WIN_1.07.exe) installation on a Win7-64 (attached):

Translation:
The version of this file ist not compatible to the executed windows version. Open the control panel of the computer to check if a 32bit or 64bit version of the program is necessary and tell that to the publisher of the software.

Anyway the installation of the VDJ LE version from the CD works fine. It seems to install the ASIO driver correctly. I have installed the VDJ LE in a different folder, because I have the full version already installed on the computer.

Then the ASIO configuration could be opened, but there was noting inside to configure. Here the message of IHearYou was helpful, because the VMS4 was automatically set to the standard device. After setting the standard to the buildin audio device, the ASIO configuration worked fine and all problems seem to be solved.

Axel

Zan,

doubleclick the file "install_virtualdj_le_vms4_v6.1.exe" on the supplied CD to start the installation. Always use the default values.

When it is finished open the control panel-sound and look, if the VMS4 is the standard device. If yes, select another device and set it to standard.

Then you can start VirtualDJ LE and open the config-soundcard-ASIO config, where your VMS4 should be displayed in the list.

If that is the case, you installation is correct.

because traktor pro isn't working for me, i want to use virtualdj pro. What are the settings in "config, audio setup"? input, output,... With Le version lights & control of VMS4 are working, but with VirtualDj pro nothing is working. Can anyone show me a screen of the settings please? (for PC XP)Why does my pc doesn't see my VMS4 with pro? With LE version everything's fine

traktor 3 is dead for such a long time now, so i assume, you'll get a hard time finding someone else doing a mapping for this new controller.

also, the jog wheel midi commands back then weren't as good as today's... i guess you'll have to live with some concessions if you want to continue using T3...

sorry, i dont have better news for you Frowner

Perhaps as an NI rep and an ADJ rep, you could offer to have one created. After all not every DJ updates his kit every 6 months in line with a companies release program.

Think about it XP support is well and truely over now, but there's still many 1000's of DJ's that still use XP, even NI state it's better than Vista and to stay with it ...

Has NI stopped supporting XP users ? no is the answer ..

I don't own T3 anymore, or i could have done it myself.
