I've just bought a 4 fixture rainbow 250 package with the dmx solo controller and have a few questions in regards to the controller.

1)What does AP and AS stand for?

2)Would I be better off buying the DMX SOLO/RAINBOW controller that has preloaded programs specifically designed for the rainbows 250? Would I loose the ability to create my own programs that I have with the plain DMX SOLO?
