I am trying to set my Spot 250's to work with the "built in mic". I was told that these have built in mics and that the audio sensitivity knob on the back of the fixutes controls the sensitivity of the mic. I have made the necessary changes on the front panel to turn audio ON. I also understand that this works with bass only and not treble and bass like the Mighty Scans. (which I also own). The question is, what am I doing wrong? When I turn the sesitivity to about 25%, the head starts to move on it's own. I then back off just a bit until it stops moving and then play some low bass music. I own a 2000W amp and 2 18" subs, so I know that is not the issue. I can not get these to respond via sound. I purchased these as soon as they came out. Both fixters respond the same way. Please Help! Show coming up on Saturday that I was hoping to use these at.

does it follow the music when you have it moving on its own? Every fixture I have from ADJ when you put it into the audio mode it will move on its own if there is no sound then syncs when the sound starts. I would think it would be better for them to stop when there is no signal as well. Turn it up and see if it follows the beat.

If you are daisy chaining the fixtures, make sure they are all set to the same address, and the XLR linking cable is on the "output" of the Master fixture. The mic is on the bottom of the fixture, near the plate bracket (looks like an O-ring half out of the fixture). To test, put you finger over the hole to cover it. The lights should respond.
