DJ Spot 250 issue

I just bought 2, brand new DJ Spot 250s and one of them is acting erratically as I am trying to program them via DMX. The problem is that when I have them in stand by mode (not using them at the moment), one of them decides it is going to run for a second then go back into stand by mode. Also, when I was programming it to be a spot light, it would not stay where I put it and it would move around and then back to the spot I put it. Then it do it again and again until I have it moving around.

What do I need to do to fix this?

this sounds like an issue caused by a bad data cable or when you use a mic cable instead of DMX cables... have you tried new cables?
