DJ Scan 250 runs hot

I have two DJ Scan 250s. One is newer than the other one, and the newer one runs significantly cooler than the older one. My question is do i need to purchase a new fan. This light has had to have the light socket re-soldered into it before as well, so i wonder if this may have had something to do with the socket coming out.
