go with 2 of each! That way, if you ever get a DMX-Operator, you can have the scans do their thing, and then go to blackout, and then the rollers come on and do their thing, have switch back and forth. It has to be fast movements, and rapid gobo changes, and it works really good with house and fast dance music! I tried it at a Guitar Center, and it was awesome! So yes! go with two of each!

please do not get scans!!!!!! . They are so choppy, and with 4 dj rollers it's a better light show with tons of beams rather than 4.

Are you talking about the Scantron and Rollertron???? The newest members of the ADJ lighting family???? Cause the mirror movement on the Scantron is not harsh at all, it's very smooth. . . and on both units the barrel can be removed for an instant color changer.

I would go with 2 scans and 2 rollers. Even though the movement of the scans are choppier than other effects your guests will not have a clue. the only person that will notice is you. In d=fact sometimes the choppyness of the fixtures looks kinda cool. Put the 2 scans on each of the outside and the 2 rollers in the middle. In a dark room with fog it looks awesome. Even there are some better effects out on the lighting market, the dj scan and roller are very nice effects for their price.
