Just unpacked my new HyperGem this past weekend and I notice that the lenses appear to have a film on them both inside and out. Can these be cleaned and should I clean them? If so can I use window cleaner or just a mirofiber cloth?
I just pulled a unit from our stock. The lenses looked clean and they had no film. You can try cleaning the lenses with windex and a cloth. There should be no plastic film on them. Please let me know the outcome.
Thanks for the reply Ernie, I don't have time tonight to take the top off to clean the inside, but I did clean the outside of the lenses. It is not a plastic film that peels off. It is more like a greasy foggy residue that you can smudge with your finger. I cleaned them with pre-moistened eyeglass cleaner wipes.
