Cue (PFL) not working..HELP please

Hi There,
I am looking for a little assistance.

I have mapped VMS4 to Traktor Pro and everything is working great, except for Cue (PFL)

It is not working properly. When pushed I hear no sound until I increase the volume faders. It Is interacting with Traktor Pro because the headphone icon is highlighted. I was using Ecler Nuo 4, and audio 8 and never had this problem.

I am using windows XP SP3, I have updated firmware to 3.11 and Traktor Pro Version 1.26. I have read the manual, Traktor Bible (respective sections) many times. I have tried what support has told me to do as well and have tried every combination for out/inputs and seems to come up short.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated if anyone is using Traktor with 4 deck internal mixing mode.

Colin - please map Traktor for 4 deck external mixing mode and set the 4 out / 8 out switch to 8 out. This will fix the problem. The VMS4 is set up for external mixer mode since it functions as both a MIDI controller and an analog mixer.

Thanks Elliot,

I did this before and it did work fine but then it would not use Traktor's record feature.

Is there something I am missing here to use record in external mode?

The 8 out mode of the VMS4 also includes one USB audio channel that sends the mixer output signal back to the PC for recording purposes.

Whether you can use this will depend on the abilities of Traktor.

If Traktor can only record from its own internal mixer, then you'd have to use something else to record from that signal.

It's never really a good idea to record and play back from the same PC anyway, in my opinion.

I wanted to avoid purchasing an external device for recording. But this looks like the only solution.

Any good recommendations?
