crank 2 system question

Ok I have a crank 2 system, but with now, instead of the ten foot section of ladder truss, I have 2 ten foot sections of triangular truss mounted with the 2 crank 2 stands with Y adapters. The Max weight says.. 140 Lbs evenly distrubuted? well is that a percaution or what... because my total weight evenly distrubted is 172 pounds ... will the stands be able to take this or?... is it ok?

I think this question is better left for Support. Although I do believe the weight restrictions were more so, because of the stock truss that comes with the system, rather than the stands.

i think as long as it is evenly weighted at ether end 2 extra pounds should not mattter all that much

He said 172 which is 32lbs more not 2lbs. This makes it 19% over capacity.

well then try it at home set it up put em on and wait to see if can handle if for a long time

ya.... I'll get right on setting my truss up to see if it'll smash to the ground with my lights....

ok but I think I have a cam e up with a solution.... the only hard part i found when I tryed this was cranking it up.... then I just lowered it down so all the pressure went on the pin... will this be ok:?

that should be OK. I use the pin as a safety and am typically having the pin a little above where I am cranked. That little bit of metal is strong.

On my other truss, I had some idiot decide to jump up and hang on it. Luckily my lights were less extensive at the time, but still, what a jerk. I am glad I had the safety pins in on that evening.
