Conventional lights with myDMX

That should be fine just make sure the dimmer packs are not using multiplex rather than DMX. Multiplex will fry out the DMX chip in the my dmx interface.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Now, dumb question time: how do I figure out if I have multiplex rather than dmx? I don't remember what the dimmer packs are for the lekos but I do know that they are getting the same dmx signal to them as the other fixtures. The only signal to all fixtures comes from the Leprecon and that's a 5-pin dmx (converted to 3-pin with connector).

Should say in the manual for the dimmer packs. If you can find a link to them I can let you know. Or ask the person who installed them if they know.

Again, thanks so much. I'll check them this afternoon. If I need help I know where to come for the answers. BTW, is there any tutorial on the 3D visualizer? Great tool. I really want to get myDMX to keep current and pass on to some younger talent.

I checked out the dmx/mux question. From the console dmx cable runs to Leviton a2000 panel, from there it goes to a dmx/mux translator with mux going to the dimmers but dmx comes out of translator to the led fixtures behind the choir. So it appears that the dmx runs straight thru, other than the split off to the translator. Don't see any problems, do you?

That sounds fine. But just make sure the mux never touches a line going to the interface or to a dmx fixture. Let me know how it goes.
