Concept 1/2 questions

-I've noticed that the pages for the Concept lights say '5 DMX channels', but also mention a separate shutter and a laser. I'm confused, do they not have a pan/tilt speed setting? Counting channels: pan, tilt, color, gobo, that leaves one channel for speed, shutter, and laser control, each of which would seem to want it's own channel.

-When are the Concept lights becoming available? The product pages say 'December 2002', I've seen posts here implying that many people have seen them, and my local dealer says 'next month' (which is what he says when he doesn't know). Smiler

-I'm assuming that neither the Concept:1 nor Concept:2 are dimmable, is that correct?

I'm not sure about the speed control but that would be quite shocking if you could not control the speed of your pan or tilt especially since this will be the light that will be replacing the mighty scan. As far as the realease date, the concepts seem to keep getting pushed back. The latest release date is now Jan 20th. As far as anyone seeing this light before hand, well they must have seen it at a light show. I've heard some rumors through these postings also that someone can get the auto spot now in a local store but I dont believe it especially since support said there is no way. Oh and the concepts are not dimmable but the autospots are!!

Iam the ine that said I could get the auto spots. right now. I was in the store where I can get them and they were gone? So I asked the manager and he said that they had them but theuy returned them back to ADj for some reasoin. He said they have not gotten their new ones bacuse of the holiday season they have been back ordered. So that's my story.
