I'm new to lighting and I need some help. I'm in a small garage band and we just inherited a small lighting system. A friend of a band member upgraded his lights, and he gave us his old controller. It's an American DJ, model DP 12. It looks pretty simple to use, only 12 sliders to control the lights. We were told we can hook it up to a pc to control the lights, but we dont have the software. I did some reading and searching before I made this post, and i've read about dmx controllers and also software from elation. Will any of this work for my controller? Do I need something made just for the DP 12? Is that kind of software still around somewhere?
