I disconected the audio 8, tried again and still getting a loud white noise (hiss) through master out. Even without traktor scratch running, same thing. Only on line 4 tho. Gotta be a hardware situation. Pls help

when and where exactly do you get the hissing?
google for "ground hum", follow the steps to avoid these and see if that helps.

Setup is: tspro, audio 8, Vms4, x1, 2x numark tts. Everything was working perfectly and it just kind of started. I unplugged the audio 8 and changed sound card back to ADJ ASIO, still getting hiss. I did notice it only hisses when channel 4 is set to analog. The hiss gets louder as volume fader goes up. I still get audio through but its very dull and muted. I finally closed traktor and still having same issue. Thx again for help.
did you search for ground loops as suggested?
Yes, I unhooked everything and went to a different outlet in a different room and had nothing else plugged in. I emailed tech support, hopefully its just a bad fader or somthing. I've had Vms4 for a little over a year and this is the first problem I've had. Just hoping its not a pricey fix. Thx for all the help!

Well, it so happens that I ran a 120v plug through the vms instead of the 5v supplied cord and fried it. Vms4.1 arrived today and innofader comes Friday. Time for an upgrade anyway....thx again
