This can be tricky but it has a workable fix. I made a custom 3 channel profile for the 4 bar and then you can just simply use generic RGb fixtures for the RGB channels for the 4 bar. That will allow you to see RGB color output from 4 different fixtures in the 3D. The my dmx profile creator and the 3D don't support multiple fixtures with RGB channels. so fixtures like the 4 bar that is intended to have a single profile since it is one single fixture with multiple beam outputs we can't actually make a single profile for that fixture but we can make several smaller profiles to "split it up" for it to work in the 3D and the program. Make sense? Sincerely,
Hmmm... I bit confusing, but I'll play around with it and see what I come up with.
so, in the editor, I drop in my 4-4bar profiles that you made, and then in the 3D modeler, I see there is that same profile listed, do I need to drop 4 of those into the 3D scene for each 4Bar? And if so, how will the editor know how to talk to that setup?
Ok, I think I have the idea, but I am having problems finding the right fixture in the generic folder. The rgb fixture requires 5 lights to take up the 15 channels of that make up the 4bar. The rgb dimmer, is configured differently. So which generic rgb fixture should I be dropping in to my 3D scene?
I may have to give you a call for clearer direction. Since the DMX channel assignments are different on my 4bar than what you just gave me, I not sure how this will work.
I have to leave for a few hours, but will be back in the office this afternoon. I'll give you a call and maybe you can walk me through it.
