I'm trying to help a friend who's not computer savvy register his device by coaching him through it on the phone ( he lives an hour away). He's got an account set up, but when he tries to register the interface there's no place to enter the code on the plastic card that came with the interface. He's tried everything the "store" asks but to no avail. How is it done?

He can do it just by launching the program if he is using MyDMX 3, he just will need to enter the same email he has on his account already and then the code from the card.
Where in the program is that located?
If it is a completely new device that has never been registered, it should pop up on him once the interface is plugged into the computer and the mydmx 3 program launched.
but he should also be able to get it to read on the store.
Is he using the SUT tool to connect to the website?
Here's what the store page says:

He tried to run the SUT software, but the option to start it is greyed out.
So then SUT is not running or installed....according to that screenshot
ok if it is greyed out, then it is running.
Try this:
Leave SUT to where its start is greyed out, plug the usb into the computer but NOT the mydmx 3 dongle, hit the register interface button, and then when it say plug in the hardware, plug it in then and it should pick it up.
I made a video on this: https://youtu.be/_odKzbp7cKs
Tell them to watch it.
It's definitely installed.
It says that the SUT isn't connected even though it's downloaded and running. Does that mean Windows Firewall is blocking it?
I gave up and told him to contact ADJ by phone.
It could be, also make sure MyDMx 3 program isn't running at all, can't split the driver between two diff. programs.
check windows firewall for Port UDP 2430 i think, that needs to be unblocked.
He called support and they were stumped.
His computer, though it's new, still has Explorer on it, would that be the problem? I told him to download Chrome
Got it sorted and the interface is confirmed working with a fixture...Thanks !
