Bubbletron Voltage

The bubbletron specs read that it is multi-voltage. Does that mean that other countries (230v) need to splice their own connector (cut off the Edison plug) and the unit will handle the voltage? Or does it need to have a transformer to step down the voltage?

CMBDJ, the USA version (the one sold in the USA) will be 110v, anything bought outside the USA will have the 230v.
Make sense?
