Beginner DJ Seeking help

You may wish to try out the new CDI's. They have a few more features the ProScratch 2's don't. And if you really want a scratching setup, you are better off with the table tops (ie. PS2's/CDI's) as it will give you a more standard and natural scratch setup.

Like Stevie said, PS2s or the CDI-500's would be good. CDI-500's, because they offer a few more features than the PS2s.
Best bet is to try out the decks yourself, see which ones you are comfortable with.

Those clips were tight as hell, and I loved them...I think I will buy the CDI 500 decks. Ok one more question..see I'm a type of guy that likes to buy the same everything meaning...if I get ADJ decks...I gotta get the ADJ mixer, and speakers, and amplifier....any suggestions on some? I don't want anything too expensive...I'm not rich...(laugh) but something that is durable and economically resonable for a mobile DJ???

APX Power Pro Speakers (they have the amp built in, so you don't need one)

Bill, Thanks for the info, but I noticed that those speakers has some sort of strange plug on it. It is at the top of the speaker in the back with little holes in it. I was thinking to also get a subwoofer with some speakers, to get that extra bass. Are powered speakers better than speakers that don't have built in amps? Is that Q-MX2BPM mixer compatible with those speakers?

It all depends on what you already have, and what you like to get. Powered speakers are more convienient for many, but passive speakers can be more flexible.

Well can you explain, what that means powered speakers are more convienient? and non-powered are more felixible? So would it be a good idea to purchase a sub woofer along with some powered speakers?

Try using the search feature. This has been brought up a frew times. I'll give you a link to a thread that is pretty good, but if you want some more search for "powered" and you'll get a few threads.

You know....last night I had a thought....well actually somebody brought this up....Powered Speakers are bad more than good...WHY? Well isn't it true if the Amp goes out on the Speaker the speaker isn't good anymore??? That will be waste of money if you ask me. At least with non-powered if the amp goes bad, then you can just replace it, and you will still have the speaker right?? I was thinking about and I wanted to know your insight on that.

well actually, u can replace the amp on powered speakers as well, or get them fixed.... and if all fails.... bybass the amp and use it like a passive speaker.

So I guess it is safe to say that go for passive speakers? cause at least if you get a more powerful amp your chances of blowing the amp is very slim. The money it takes to get the speakers fixed you can just buy an amp..that is just my opinion!!!

lol...ok...i see where ur comming from but.....remember.... powered speakers and speaker-amp combos are the same thing..... they both have amps and they both have speakers(same thing right??)..... so in order to blow the amp on either the powered or passives.....ur goin to be hearing bad distortion or clipping before anything goes out..... so ur chances on blowing anything up is still the same.... just make sure to keep the sound and power clean... and nothin should blow...(( just my 2))
