I hope this is seen as an informative post, if the mods dont think it is appropriate please remove offending parts...

Most probably, you are referring to Cirque Du Soleil, and an episode called Dream It... If that is the case, they are backed by disney if I am not mistaken... I think they are using either Vari*Lites or Coe*mar spots. Those are professional moving yoke fixtures. They also most probably use Mac2K's, which all cost about 5grand a piece not 2! Smiler

They probably use a HogPC console, or unlikely a LJ...

It promises to be a fantastic show!

Cirque De Soleil is from Montreal, Canada. They are an idependent company that has NOTHING to do with Disney. The only relation to Disney is that one of their shows is performed at Downtown Disney in Orlando. They also have 2 shows in Vegas. Every other year they make a new show and it tours the world.

BTW- My wife works for NBC (Bravo is now a part of them) and has delt directly with Cirque for the past 5 years.
Pricing on the Vari-Lite Units vary from 2200 for the VL1000 up to 6550 for the VL3000... very nice lights.. Mac250 runs 2k 500 runs 3300... I would definitely go with an AmDJ or Elation moving yolk before I would go into higher dollar lights... unless you're putting on multi-million dollar shows like you're talking about...
