Hello,
I have a brand new VMS4 that I need to get working before this weekend on my 64-bit Windows 7 system. I have submitted a description of this problem to support and have not yet even received acknowledgement of my issue. I see that other users have posted on this same issue in the forum, and I have followed their troubleshooting steps on my system, but none of it has had any effect so far.
Here is the problem description:
I completed the VirtualDJLE bundled installation that came with the VMS4, which includes the ASIO drivers on my system. The installation completed successfully. I should note that I had a VirtualDJ Pro Full install already on the system when I installed the LE version.
I was able to run the firmware upgrade through VirtualDJ LE, and can see that all the MIDI communication over USB between the software and the workstation is working properly in the LE version. All the control settings and changes are reflected on the UI when I change them on the VMS4.
However, I am not getting any meters on the VMS4 deck, and no sound from my speakers when I load tracks in VDJ LE.
When I bring up the ASIO Settings dialog, there is no VMS4 device shown on the interface.
When I click on the "Config" button in VDJ, there are none of the tabs described in the quick start guide, for example to select the VMS4 ASIO driver, just 2 buttons to upgrade to VDJPro. The "Config" button in the VDJPro app displays all the tabs, and I am able to choose sound cards, controllers, and all the rest. Choosing the VMS4 as the sound card has no effect - no audio is being routed to the VMS4.
When I connect a microphone to the VMS4, power on the mic inputs, and talk into the mic, I can hear the mic input on my speakers.
These are the front panel settings:
CH1: analog
CH2: usb
CH3: usb
CH4: analog
norma/reverse: normal
CFA: CH2
4 out / 8 out: 4
CFB: CH3
I have tried turning the VMS4 controller on and off to reset the drivers. I have rebooted the VMS4 with the cue #4 button pushed in. I have completely uninstalled all software and re-installed from scratch (once from the CD, once using the binaries from www.vms4dj.com/downloads_uk.html). I have explicitly uninstalled just the VMS4 drivers from the Windows Device Manager and then rebooted the VMS4 to re-install and load the drivers.
None of this has had any effect whatsoever. I still cannot see the VMS4 device in the ASIO Settings dialog, and no audio is being delivered to the controller. So far, this brand new system is dead on arrival, though it seems clearly to be solely a software issue.
What can I do to get this system working quickly?
Thanks for any help anybody can provide.
