ADJ Revo 3 and 4 DMX | ADJ Forums

Hi everyone,

As response via email seems to be non existent, I thought I would post on the forums to see if I can get a response here.

I have just purchased the Revo 3 and Revo 4 from an online retailer. I also picked up the UC3 controller and some high quality DMX cable.

So basically I have a few questions that I would really appreciate answered. I have looked through the manual but cannot find an answer to my question.

1. Can the Revo 3 and 4 communicate with each other? I have the DMX cable plugged in from 1 light to the other, and have tried setting one as master and one as slave, but it seems only one light works. I am aware the lights give different patterns but my hope was that if I used the "stand by" function on the UC3 on one of the lights, then the other light would also go into stand by. Is this at all possible?

2. The instruction manual says to only use the power output with identical lights. Does this apply when using a Revo 3 with a Revo 4? Voltages would be the same. Or is separate leads recommended?

I have to say the support from American DJ isnt bad, its not existent! I have now tried email, forum posts, even asking on youtube and NOTHING. How you guys do business baffles me if this is your level of customer service.

I wont be buying another ADJ product.

I don't think those two light can be Master/Slave together. Master/Slave and UC3 should usually only be used on the same exact light IE Revo 3 to Revo 3.
