Well, let me assume the Profile Panels work like the Mega Panels. You want to move them away from the wall a bit so you don't get that RGB bleeding/shadow effect. RGB LED fixtures need some space to "melt together nicely".

Works for me anyways with the 64 LED Pros, Mega Panel 50's and Mega Panels.
Well if you figure the closer they are together the sooner they "Bleed" together. The farther apart the longer distance till "Bleed". However I think since they are laid out in a grid pattern this should help a lot. These seemed like decent fixtures when i saw them at mobile beat. but there they were aimed towards you or on the floor. not on a wall.
Sincerely,
Looking real fast at the Mega Panel(which I have 4 of) and looking online at the Profile Panel, it almost looks like a Mega Panel with smaller LED's. I haven't checked things like size of the units.

Really, distance depends on angle and intended coverage. For my applications though I am using them as a wash light for lighting people on a stage.
Let me know how that Profile panel works out. If it's decent, I'll probaby get 4 of them.

Right now, what funds I do manage to accumulate will be most likely used to buy 4 Elation Opti Tri Pars, and then maybe after that, some DMX-capable follow spots(or maybe some other follow spots). THEN maybe the Profile Panels.

But, I'm hoping to close the Lighting Purchases for a while and start a long process of saving up for a digital audio console. I just pay cash for everything. Find what I want, pay for it in full and then pick it up. After the financing screw job on my current console, I don't want to deal with that sort of crap ever again.
