I own four of the ADJ Mega TRI Bars. I have them set as pairs, L,R inner and L,R outer coloring a back wall in teh church.
I get a random independent "flicker" from them. They are set with a static color and there are no scene changes going on. No matter what scene of color I use, one or more individual lights will randomly flicker, one at a time, not together. There is no pattern to the flicker. I may go a complete church service with no flickering. The next service might have two or three lights flicker, and another service might only have one light flicker.
None of the other LED lights in the system flicker, ever, only the ADJ Mega TRI Bars.
I have DMX rated cabling to all lighting. Each pair of Mega TRI Bars have a DMX "home run" going to it, so there is minimal daisy chaining.
Any trouble shooting ideas?
Thank you

typically that is caused by data feed back inside the dmx loop. The only way to get rid of this is use dmx rated cable (which you have) a shorter homerun (not usally change able unless u go wireless) or use a dmx termination on your last fixture. The data feed back usually effects LED lights more often then moving heads, but if it is bad enough you will start seeing a "twitch" in moving fixtures. Hope this helps out
You confirmed everything I mentioned that was already done to eliminate issues.
I have 1 homerun from the AV booth to a Chauvet Data Stream 4 DMX splitter approximately 65'-75'away. From the Data Stream the individual homerun to one pair of Mega Bars is 50'-60', and 65'-75' to the other pair. I have 6 Par LED lights and 12 other LED lights with the same distances or farther without any issues. I try to link like kinds and brands to facilitate easier troubleshooting. Any new ideas?
Thank you, Troy
from there i would do cables then your splitter... since you are not having issues with the other lights, i would start by changing the dmx out from the splitter. If the mega bars are pluged into one and two...switch them to 3 and 4....see if the problem remains or moves to the other lights.... this would half eliminate the splitter....then i would start moving cables... after that, i would check your supply power
I have seen an issue with these lights flickering as well. I seem to notice it more when someone takes a picture with a flash somewhere near by (interference?). I always have to try and make sure to put these bars at the end of the DMX chain, if I don't the entire DMX chain behind it will go crazy when these things flicker. I have my DMX chain terminated and there are no splits.

Now that I think about it, it might have to do with the photographers Wireless Flash system. hmm...any ideas?
if they are true DMX cables, there shouldnt be to many issues with power...HOWEVER, with that said, yes power does cause a LOT of issues data lines need to not be near power lines no matter what kind they are. If you are running mic cables, not dmx, then yes, i would say that is your issue mic cables are not shielded like Dmx cables are
I am using American DJ DMX cables, and these lights still seem to receive interference from external sources (ie Camera Flash), or maybe the light just decides to flicker on it's own. However, when it does flicker, it causes chaos on down the DMX chain as all lights behind this light seem to be passed a corrupted DMX signal, making those lights do odd things.

Any ideas? Are these lights susceptible to outside interference?
i have no clue how to do this maybe u could point me in the right direction but im using a elation professional light 4 channel dmx pack dp-dmx20L and i have no clue how to get all 4 lights to say on like perminatly ya know sorry to reply to ur post with this to say but im a first time forum user pls help and email back
