Adding/changing new fixtures to existing scenes

Hi, recently bought 3 x Soundlab GO17S scanners from ebay at a steal!!! However I have loads of scenes set-up for the songs we do using our old Nightsun scanners, can i simply add the newscanners into the existing scenes? If so how do I write their operation into the scene without having to do the whole lot again? We are a covers band so each song we do has several scenes for verse/chorus/bridge etc so for one set I have some 100 odd scenes!!!!

I don't know if you got your answer from this, but unless the channels on the fixtures are the same (ie 1 dimmer, 2 x, 3 y and so on) then no. Any new fixture (including a replacement) will not carry any properties. Also, before you go any further, make a back up on a memory stick or something just in-case you need to revert back.

if you are simply pulling the lights and adding more in the same dmx channels, it most likely wont work...however, you can patch them at a higher dmx channel and simply program those lights into the existing show.... but at that point you might as well keep the old lights in the show
