hi all. hope this is in the right place.

i bought the vms4 just over a week ago. unpacking it i was like a kid at christmas. it was more than i hoped for. then i ran it for the first time live on saturday night in my own venue.

i was like a kid at christmas who didnt get a present.

the out put was really low. even running my pv2600 amp at full volume into my pv215 speakers. but what did come through sounded good....untill....

i picked up the mic and......mmmmurph....mmmmch..mmph....

distortion made it unusable.

now aa have been great in offering us the new line adaptors and i even bought an adapter to fit it into my case when they send it.

the output im running it into a seperate preamp mixer for now

now for the question i think we all want answered

when the new vms4's come out, will we get the opportunity to have the old unit replaced by aa?

i know how hard you guys are working to fix the problems and all the help and advice you have given here, but no one has given a yes or no answer to his. its all we want to know

will you replace our faulty units y/n :-)

Why wait around for AA to come off the pot with a definitive solution?

You should have done your homework before buying the VMS4 anyway as the issues you have described are well documented.

Throw the VMS4 in the bin (or on Ebay), put this down to experience and get the DN-MC6000 instead. It's far superior (and a bit more expensive) but the old addage certainly goes that you get what you pay for.

AA don't give a hoot, the solution is a revised unit with no recompense for Mk1 customers. What a joke!

DJ Fatman, where are you located? I don't know why you would not get a mic adaptor, I will try to expedite.

DJ Stardust, I am confused. The mic issue is fixed, some DJ's want more output and we are working on that.

There are 1000's of happy VMS4 owners. Have you seen the MC6000 forums, no picnic over there either.

Have a great day.
Ha ha,

The low output has been an issue since the VMS4 was released months ago. Releasing a new revised unit isn't helping owners of the Mk1 who have had this problem for months, and AA still haven't told them the outcome.

Denon released a fix for the MC6000 jogwheel issue in 4 weeks (20 working days) which is a hell of a lot quicker than something that's not been resolved since September.
aaf1 i am in the uk and any help would be helpful since i sold my old equipment to help pay for the vms4 and am no longer able to run karaoke (back up mixer only has 1 mic input)

dj stardust i understand you frustration with the unit and slow response. i didnt expect to have to go and search for faults for a new product tho. i have been buying aa stuff for years with no problems and friendly reps so took a chance on this unit based on this history. ,the unit is on the surface a fantastic unit with a few flaws and the problem i have had is not being informed of aa's solution or support.although the denon is a nice unit im not willing to give up on a company i admire. aa are a smaller company than denon and were brave enough to bring out this kind of unit at this price. loads followed but aa took a risk and im willing to struggle through with the faith that they will not abandon us
