I have tried for over 4 nights now to get an actual properly programmed Hampster 7 ch. fixture file. I am pretty good on computers but the documentation for the mydmx ScanLibrary is woefully lacking in instructions on how to properly use this application... meanwhile I have bought 4 Stage Ape Hampsters and every fixture file I have been led to is WRONG. I can't believe that American DJ truly believes that this fixture they have you go get at their DREOP BOX is programmed correctly. it has big "holes" in,... Jingles or someone who does this frequetly, would you PLEASSEEEE help me get me a good fixture file for this Hampster. The colors for ch. 1,2,& 3 are a no-brainer as is the dimmer.. but channels 4,5 & 6 are not right and I have spent hours and getting very frustrated!!! johnnymack7@mindspring.com 256-468-4233 <sigh>

Hey johnny we don't believe EVERY single one of the profiles we make from a different manufacturer is 100% accurate and working properly. That would be silly. We rely on user feedback to help us correct fixture profiles from other companies products. We don't make the stage ape stuff so we cannot promise the DMX traits in the manual are correct and so far you are the first I have heard of complaints of this profile. Also I don't really want to get into the whole" Profiles cannot make a fixture not work properly because they are just easier to visualize the group of channels you are controlling and have no actual bearing on the actual fixtures programmed DMX chipset." debacle. Big Grin
So email me the PDF manual and tell me what's wrong with the profile you are making or have received and I will check it out.
P.s. if you want training on scan library editor to be more self sufficient let me know and we can set up a training time. Hell one less person for me to make profiles for Wink haha. (joking but I will train you)
Sincerely,
