I have a few issues I'd like some help with.

1. I use Martin MX4s but in the effects generator section, the wheel only lets me choose between strobe and black out. How do I add "on" to the menu?

2. Is there a way to increase the speed of the strobe of the mx4s? I know the mx4s can increase/decrease strobe speed but not sure how to do this in mydmx.

3. I made a few shows in mydmx 1.0 that I wanted to import into mydmx 2.0 but realized that although it works for the most part, the colors and gobos are inaccurate in mydmx 1.0. How exactly would I be able to transfer the mydmx 2.0 mx4 ssl file to mydmx 1.0 so that there are no issues during transfer?

4. Finally, I want to change the speed of some of my shows. I basically want one long show at 3 different speeds (slow, medium, fast). Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks!

Hello Sunny,
1) i have myDmx opened up currently and have many more options for the MX4s.... do you know which release date of the software you are running?
2) the strobe can be incresed in the editor, the fader for the first channel controlls the shutter, you adjust the dmx value it will change the speed
3) there is no way to transfer the ssl2 file to MD1.... the only way to get the profile fixed is for you to email me what the current traits are and what each one needs to be changed too and i will re-build the profiles for you.
4) the shows times can be changed in the editor. Select the scene and to the right the steps...change the times + or - and it will change the times
Thank you! I was using the latest release after installing it last night (Aug 3).

I can manually turn on the mx4s by moving the sliders but in the effects manager (or whatever the new name is) I only see a strobe option and three blackout options (around the wheel). Nothing happens when I hit the light bulb button.

I kind've like some of the effects in DMX 1.0 (knight rider, color gradient) so I was hoping to make a few scenes involving my pucks and MX4s and then importing them into mydmx 2.0. The only problem is that when I do so, the colors and gobos for mx4s are completely wonky. I ws hoping to have the mydmx 1.0 mx4 ssl file act exactly like the one in mydmx 2.0. Sorry, I'm not very technical so that's about all the info I can give. If this doesn't make sense, no worries, I'll just use the effects in 2.0.
I am becoming very frustrated with this software. 1.0 was much easier to use.

So yes, the problem continues with being unable to turn on the mx4s from the scene builder. If you hit the light bulb icon, nothing happens. When I hit the lightbulb icon for the blizzard pucks, they all turn on. I can manually turn them on (mx4s) in editor by moving the corresponding slider.

Also, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to use the scene builder to generate any effects for the mx4s. For example, I highlight the mx4s and then choose fx. I will then choose something like "circle" and all of the X and Y sliders start to move appropriately. Everything is looking good so far BUT, when I hit the check mark button to generate the scene, it creates a 2 step scene that does absolutely nothing.

There are no such issues when generating a scene for the pucks. I just drag and drop the color effect onto the fixture icons and hit the check mark button. This works no problem.

Any help with this and my previous questions would be muchy appreciated. I have a wedding to DJ on Saturday and was hoping to use this for thr first time. I may just have to make shows with mydmx 1.0 and import them into mydmx 2.0.

I am thinking this is a problem with just the mx4. After hours of frustration, I decided to load another random scanner and I encountered no problems when generating an effect.
