@musiclee
Yes I've seen the video but I could only make a general idea about the hypnotic because it only appears at the end of the video...anyway I know you guys won't agree with me but I think that the royal sky is not a good laser because:
1) the diodes are really dark (compared to the majority of sky effect base line competitor lasers)
2) the galvo scanners are not fast enough to create a decent liquid sky effect
3) if you want a professional sky effect you gotta use ilda standard (and I think the royal sky only uses dmx)
BUT galaxian,micro galaxian,hypnotic and micro hypnotic are great lasers, perfect for easy mobile djing set ups Big Grin
francesco

have you seen the royal sky in person?

just wondering as you're very quick to critisize it!!!

to me the royal sky seems to stand out above ALL the other ADJ lasers, but that's just from seeing the videos

and you mention the competitors lasers...
which laser do you like? or will you get?
@musiclee
If you like the royal sky so much you should take a look at show lasers that we have here in Europe Big Grin

There is no need to see the royal sky to say that it's a low quality sky effect laser but the problem is not adj...in the US laws about MPE (maximum premitted exposure) for lasers are very restrictive, so that manufacturers have to use 30mw green diodes (among the darkest available in the market) and 405nm blue violet diodes (again,the darkest compared to real 445nm and 473nm blue diodes).
And if you use this kind of diodes is useless to mount 30kpps scanning galvos, useful to have smooth movements.

So,Adj did a very good job trying to create nice effects with small amount of output power like galaxian and hypnotic! but if we talk about lasershows they have a lot to work on...

I said "competitor lasers" beacuse we are in an Adj forum and I didn't want to mention other brands, but I was thinking about Laserworld.
I have 3 lasers from this company, 2 about 400mw RGB with 473nm blue and 1 about 1500mw RGB with 445nm blue and if you want there are some videos of them in my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/DjsRomani?feature=mhum
These ones are a bit expensive but they have tons of showlasers for every price Wink
Another great company is Medialas, which has wonderful hardware and software ilda controllers,even entry level (for example I use Mamba Elements)

With this post I didn't mean to say "don't buy royal sky because it's not good" but something more like "it's time for Adj to take their lasers a step further" Wink
Music, my fav new laser is the royal sky RGb of course. lol I filmed it the most while i was there. Why? I just can't stop looking at it. haha.

DJ Romani, Yes we had two of the DJ spot LED movers in the booth. However I did not get time to film them. They are exactly like the OG Dj spot but with a LED soucre. They are bright.
for the best prices you guys please try to contact a local dealer.
Sincerely,
I THINK we will still have a GB only version. I'm not sure. Once it's on the web site that's what we have. Big Grin But also that PDF you have doesn't have the quad scan RG or fusion EFX Bar 5 and maybe some other stuff. So we will just have to wait until all the details are finalized. Everything that was new at the booth was considered a prototype. So.... that's what's up. haha.
Sincerely,
@musiclee

I don't know why but I was afraid that it would be something with three zeros Frowner so if you say about 1000$ here in Italy it will be about 500€, twice the x-scan and three times the comscans, but still reasonable for what it offers...

@Jingles

If the dj spot leds are even similar to 250 halogen (the same thing is written even on the box of my revo roll led but they're everything but 250 halogen) they will be a great deal! They're arriving at Thomann on the 28th of february for 370€ Big Grin Can't wait to order a couple of them! Can I ask you one last question Jingles? Do you have the dmx map of this light? I've read that it has 8 dmx channels, 2 more than the original dj spot 250...so I was curious to know if one of these 2 channels is (finally) the "pre-setted movements" one, like on the x-move led Big Grin
@Romani,
Here is a video comparing the Vizi-Spot LED (NOT PRO), which is an older 22Watt LED head to head with a 250 Watt Halogen, you can see the difference yourself. Now the DJ Spot LED is a 25 Watt LED, and newer, each of the last 2 years LED technology has increased 10%-30% in efficiency at the same wattage. ie. 25 Watt LED from last year is not as bright as 25 Watt LED's developed this year.

Here is the comparison video

@Stevie Ray

I saw that video some time ago and I was very impressed about that! Now of course the 250 watt chauvet light bulb is probably chinese and not philips but everybody told me that the vizi rocks! And I'm sure that this new 25 watt led source rocks too! Big Grin I hate so much people here in my country that buy chinese lights advertising "super bright 60 watt led" and then not saying how many lumens @3mt they have, they're such idiots!
Hey Jingles!
Well it looks like I am the only person to be really p*ssed off with this news! I have JUST bought 2 ACCU UFO's. Am not overly impressed with their brightness as they don't cut through haze & now you announce brighter versions....
Is there any way I can upgrade mine?
