That might be it. Never heard of that. I've only had mine since I think 2008. Jingles talked me into them. My only complaint was that he didn't talk me into them sooner. Love these fixtures.

Get your serial numbers handy and contact support/service. Maybe they can confirm taht 6 channel thing. Maybe you could inquire about an upgrade plan? Not sure if ADJ offers anything but it's worth asking. Maybe its as simple as unseating an old ROM and seating a new one.
Ah... I don't know. I'm sure all it would probably take would be a drop in chip to upgrade them, but in all reality, they work just fine the way they are. I've only got two of them, though I'd like to have more. I have 4 of the scan 250's, four color changers from the other guys..., 4 LED pars, and two LED strips (also from the competitor). I do love the American DJ stuff. Very durable. I especially love the scan 250's. Those things rarely turn up on Ebay, though I did see 4 of them this week sell for about 600 bucks. Somebody got a heck of a deal.
I would say your worse-case scenario is you might need custom profiles for those 2 6-channel fixtures, but since the 64 LED Pro has a 6-channel operating mode, perhaps that profile will work for you just fine. Then again, maybe if the ugprade is possible, it may be the way to go.

I don't see a lot of ADJ showing up on Ebay used. I see some people selling it NEW for pretty much asking street prices.

Not like some other brands....

I'm pretty much done with non ADJ fixtures. My objective is to replace any non-ADJ fixtures with a suitable ADJ replacement even if not a like for like replacement.

I have mentioned seeing a competitor's fiture for like $80 less AND in stock. Tempting, very tempting. Don't want to deal with potential issues. At least it is a name brand, but its a name I don't want to mention. There's a few "generics" that sell for even less, and that scares me.

I agree. Those Scan 250's selling for about $600, that's a great steal. I bet someone just decided to get out of the business!

Right now Jingle's side project is getting me completely off non-ADJ and non-Elation lights. Some choices are easy. Some not so easy. Some it's just a price issue. I will say this, it WILL happen, but it just may take a bit of time, and of course money!
