Just for anyones information with a problem I had with 2 5Ps, one was an older model and the other more recently purchased.
The lights stopped receiving DMX signals but everything else seemed to be functioning properly. I happened to check the resistance between pins and got the following:
- 25kΩ between + and - pins
- 15kΩ between + and gnd pins
- 10kΩ between - and gnd pins
It seems that for a working fixture, the pin resistances are:
- 38kΩ between + and - pins
- 28kΩ between + and gnd pins
- 10kΩ between - and gnd pins
It seems that somewhere on the Main PCB had failed as a replacement of the board had remedied the problem.
So if this same symptoms happen for you as well, a quick ohmmeter test can let you know what is likely wrong before taking it apart.
