Theatrical Lighting application

Hello, I am new to myDMX3, trying to use it for a circus school performance. Is myDMX3 the right application for setting up cues for each act in the performance? I am looking to have our lighting person manually advance to the next cue. I am using a set of 5 PARs and 2 moving head lights.

Let me know if you can suggest a good setup and use of scene vs group.
