Also, a replacement lamp for the Hexstar is only $15.00. Maybe $180 for a 500 watt Xenon :-)

In any case, if I keep the Hexstars I'll retrofit the lamp house with six 50watt MR-16's, which will be a lot brighter, use less power, and last longer. I have no idea why the engineers at ADJ insisted on using all those double ended halogen bulbs when MR-16's throw way more light in specific directions. I have a couple ancient double-derby's I retrofitted with 250watt MR-16's and they are awesome.
