saving presets

I am at a loss. I've spent 12 hours trying to save a preset verbatim to what I programmed to no avail. It's only on my Chauvet, and only lights 3 and 4. Those 2 change to 2 different colors as soon as I hit save. I can't get anything done because of this. Asked on the fb page, no answers. Version 1.1.2-52. Can anyone advise me? On the verge of ordering a hardware controller...
