Reply to "Radius or CDJ?"

I spent about three months comparing both the Pioneers CDJ2000, and the American Audio Radius 3000, aside from a few minor differences and the obvious big screen of the 2000, they practically do the same thing.

A few dj's who swear by pioneer, tried to persuade me not to get the AA Radius, and instead buy the 2000, their claim was that the quality was inferior, they they don't work as good as the pioneers, etc, etc, etc.

When I purchased my radius, and after playing with them for at least two weeks, I invited one of the dj's that swears by pioneer, and asked him to take them for a field test. Need I add that this guys has been dj for a very long time, and has played at numerous major clubs. So he started to play with them, and after two hours he was in love with the Radius 3000. He even mentioned that the 3000 were way better than his CDJ400. His expression after playing with them on that day was "they are bad ass".

I don't really go for any brand in particular, but I must admit, that my last two dj sets, have been by American Audio, and now that I own a pair of the Radius 3000, I'm really happy with my investment.

However, as everything and anything, I would like to see a few improvements, which are not detrimental, but would be appreciated. I still cannot understand why the BPM's fluctuate, and would have love the addition of the BMP lock, but other than that, I'm really happy with my new toys. Its just amazing how you can go from one media to the other with these units, and satisfy every, or almost every dj needs. Weather if you are a CD dj, or an USB flash drive dj, or you prefer to use DJ software, these are the ideal toys to have, if you can't afford to buy the much more expensive cdj's which will do the same as the American Audio Radius 3000.
