Midi Assigned Faders

I assigned some faders to a X-Session Pro controller and the software does not keep to wherever I move the faders to. Example, I'll assign a fader, move it, the software moves along with it, but it reverts to the top or bottom without me setting the fader there. I also tried it with an Axiom 49 wich I was using before, and it does the same thing. Set-up was, OSX 10.8.2 running Aug.28th vers. of software with an Elation PS5r fixture.
