Mega Tripar Profile Plus with Donner Wireless dongles

I don't have a dmx controller yet, but I believe I can attach my Donner transmitter to my first Par, it should then transmit instructions to the other 3, when I use the supplied ADJ remote. I have seen one YouTube video where this worked but precise detail was missing. For me, when I remove my original dmx cable, which worked fine, and insert the transmitter and receivers the master responds to the remote as usual but the slaves stay dead. Transmitter is flashing 'transmitting", receivers, on same coloured wavelength are flashing 'receiving '. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, I cant find anything specific on the net. Any clues please! Thanks.
