Help with wmx1 and two wash fx2 lights

Hello forum! Just received my wmx1 today along with my wireless donner dmx dongles. After watching plenty videos on youtube im still confused. Is there a way to just plug and play? I get theres many diff ways to control the lights which im learning slowly but can i plug and play and still use the right side pads on the wmx1?
