Had Problems. But, this is only informational

The DJ's at my SacAnime SacRave event complained that my show stopped. Well, I've tested it over and over again, and it did NOT stop. I think what happened was it went into one of the few areas where I made things wait on a wash for a minute, and they assumed it stopped. Fair enough, I'll find those parts and tweak them up a bit. At least, this is my theory. I ran the "big show" for well over 10 hours today(no lights or dongle attached) and it ran fine.

Well, up until the end. I had the 3D Visualizer going the whole time, as well as doing various other things, including reading and posting here and various other tasks, so I didn't exactly present the ideal MyDMX environment. But, after 10 hours of repeating a fairly pounding light show, esa.exe finally crapped out on me.

Again, considering I was doing lots of other tasks on the computer and running the 3D Visualizer and the "big show" has over 2000 steps in that scene, 10 hours running non-stop is pretty darn respectable. Of course, it runs longer than that at SacHorrorFilmFest, but I also do a lot less and we're talking 14 hours of MyDMX working fine, but barely being used.

Considering the rave event lasted no more than 4 hours, that's also well within the realm of acceptable, especially considering non-dedicated usage for my test.

There have been issues with esa.exe in the past. Even with this problem, I can't really coun it against MyDMX. I'm still pleased with the product. Yeah, so I had problems. Big deal. Thank goodness it was offline. I bet if I left the system optimized, it would have run longer just fine. The only reason my test ran for 10 hours was because I started it at 9AM and at 7:30 or so, I noticed it was out, and at 7PM, it was still running just fine. And, the other reason why it was running was because there was no real reason to need the resources and necessitate shutting down MyDMX.
